ethoxoquin in fish meal question

Fish meal in pet foods for dogs and cats. There's a regulation that fish meal with a specific percentage of fat must contain the preservative ethoxoquin. Exactly what percentate of fat requires the addition of ethoxoquin? Does anyone know or know where we can find that information? Thanks so much!

Unique Ingredients in Pet Foods

It always amazes me when I encounter questions or comments from either the pet food feeding public or fellow members of the pet food industry regarding unique or exotic ingredients. US Pet Care Facts in 2008

1. Pet care sales were $ 28 billion in 2008.

2. Pet care category grew by 4.6% in 2008 driven largely by Supercenters ( +13.4%) and grocery( +5.2%) and club (+ 7.5%.)

3. Mass Merchandisers accounted for 29%, specialty 37% and grocery 22% of total pet care sales

4. Pet care purchase frequency ranked # 10 in grocery, # 1 in Mass, # 3 in dollar stores

5. Out of 126 categories in pet care category ranked # 2 in per capita spending $ 214/yr
