Well done! A lot of effort went into this and it was evident from start to finish.

The speakers gave me a lot to think about and study further, the information downloads are going to have me reading and thinking even more, and several vendors have my attention who were just one of the zillions before. I really must commend those people manning the vendor areas - they were friendly and I felt that they answered my questions in a forthright manner. I am extremely hard to please in that regard, so that's saying something.

I am insanely busy and had to force myself to dedicate a day to doing something other than the long list I have ahead of me, but I definitly don't regret it. Time well spent! What are you doing for an encore and where do I sign up? ;-)

I am really looking forward to this event. Will you be sending out reminders immediately prior to the event? Some of us, not saying who, have a bad habit of missing events in spite of numerous pop-up reminders. Thanks for putting it all together!

I am very interested in Walmarts actions, especially since they have paid countless dollars in EPA fines over the past decade. Hopefully, they will follow their own regulations and stop polluting the enviroment!

Thanks for the comment and suggestion, Marcel. Virtual Petfood Forum will be focused on nutrition, with only five sessions total, so it was difficult to fit in sustainability. But I agree that it's an important subject and one we will definitely include as part of Petfood Forum 2010 in Chicago--possibly with a speaker from Walmart's sustainability program. Did you hear the news a couple weeks ago that Walmart is launching a new sustainability index with the aim to eventually require all its suppliers to prove their products and practices are green and sustainable? It will be interesting to watch how that plays out.

I suggest to put sustainability on the calender as a subject for the Virtual Petfood Forum. It's not a hype but a business-reality which will start to influence strategic decision-making in the very near future; together with awareness of the carbon footprint and its consequences for our industry.
