Marc Galitó Morral Comment by Marc Galitó Morral on August 26, 2010 at 5:36am
Hello everyone and greetings from Barcelona. I have a pet food factory since 1996. Currently the European market and especially Spanish, has been fooled by very low prices, and quality of disgust. This has given wings to some companies, using public money, have been ordered to fix the sad role of managing the recycling of leftover meat from slaughterhouses or refusal, to feed pets. Now, currently the market is changing, but consumers still want cheap products, but now demands quality. For this reason, 6 months ago we have developed products based on fish, rice and potatoes, to divert us from this whole disaster, but can be very difficult hole. My question is if any of you have an experience with products that depart from normality, and you know what the market acceptance, apart from leaving a reasonable price, and are functional foods.
Thanks, and if demaaa from initiatives like this site, we can arrive an image of quality, professionalism and savoir afaire of our beloved food industry

Hello everyone, I am new to this site, but I am in need of a contact or interested manufacturer to help assist us in putting together a manufacturing facility for a fee or partnership. Additionally we are in need of formulas and process integration; we are willing to pay franchise, licensing fees or share in profit under contract. We are currently in the beginning stages of construction for a manufacturing center in RU. The market there is worth $1.5b and growing. Need any help I can get or contacts, I prefer to work with a US manufacturer or company. Please contact me on me gmail account at chernolikhov@gmail.com with any information or help you think I can get. Thanks in advance!

Hi Zachary -

I emailed you a while ago and you're responses are always so helpful. I'm looking for a nutrition consultant to help me with a dog food formula that I want to develop and was hoping you had some reliable contacts. Any advice on how to proceed?
Thanks!

What is your single largest challenge when:
A.) Sourcing ingredients for a new project?
...and/or
B.) Diversifying your supply chain for ingredients that you currently purchase?

Thank you for the kind words Melody! Before I did this, I was the Operations Manager and primary ingredient buyer for a pet food manufacturer. It never ceased to amaze me how difficult it was to BUY ingredients. Whether we're buying ingredients for dinner at home or for our manufacturing operation, we're still a consumer. Why should things be made more difficult and un-appealing when buying for manufacturing? It should always be about a friendly, easy-to-use, simple buying experience! Will our price ALWAYS be the lowest, no... few are everytime... but will our service, product quality, and vendor-customer relationship be better and more rewarding... absolutely or we don't expect to keep you as a customer.

Anyhow, thanks again... and I'll start working on that low-processed seafood
:-). Along those lines, what are you looking for with regards to "low-processed seafood"? The only reason I ask is because we do have some different freeze dreid seafood items...

I love that 'Sample Express' idea on the site, Zachary. The main reasons that businesses shop the internet is convenience & saving time/hassle. I don't feel like many industry websites do me any favors in that regard, but yours seems geared towards it. You make it easy for people to start dealing with you and that has to result in higher lead conversion. Somebody is thinking in your marketing department. Very nicely designed & organized as well.

Now if you'd just specialize in low-processed seafood, I'd be yours...lol...but we can't be all things to all people. Nice work!
